It was a cold autumn day and I went to Udaipur to celebrate my grandfather's birthday.
I was very excited and so was my grandfather. It was a BIG surprise day for him, I had made a card dummy ticket and titled it Flight to Udaipur. I included the day, date and seat number on the bottom. I had even made a booklet that he could use to write the new things he saw; he ate and a lot more. I had made a map of Udaipur too. When we reached Udaipur, the resort staff decorated the bed in my room instead of his. So I invited him to my room, and we cut a cake.
We stayed at Taj resort; it was HUGE. I decided that I would only come to Udaipur for the resort. There was a kind woman at the reception named Sanjana. She was with me all the time. She complimented me for my doll and camera. On the first day, in the resort we did Christmas cake making with Berries, alcohol and a few more things. I got an apron, Santa hat and chef's hat back home. For dinner, we went to Fatha Sagar Lake and did sightseeing on our own.
On the second day, we went to the city palace and did shopping. It was very interesting. I got a new bag and that also in red my favorite colour. We even went to a store. My mother bought two saris made out of Bandani and Lahria, a Rajasthani cloth. I bought myself a Bandani Kurta and my father bought himself a lahria Kurta too. I learned a lot about Laria and Bandani. for lunch we ate pasta and pizza.
For lunch we ate cheese sandwich. We ate dinner at the city palace lake itself. The city palace and the lake palace were in a lake. I learned something new too, the city palace had two hotels in it. we even had a music event.
Third day after breakfast, I did pottery.
Later me and my family went in a speed boat in Fateh Sagar lake, and the best part was when the boat turned, and my father said to the driver to go through the fountain!! Arhh ! he is always saying things when that's not right. Oh my! finally, the driver did not listen to him. Phew! In the night we attended a Diwali puja and I lit Diya's.
On the fourth day it was finally time to go but guess what ? There a play area and I went there to play with my grandmother. It was fun, but I got hurt and Sanjana gave me a bandage. Finally it healed and it was time to go. I said a last bye-bye to Udaipur, but I will look forward to come again soon.
