I love spending my special day with children at Harmony House, an NGO I visit regularly. I truly believe that quality education is a must for all children and when they get access to
good books, exposure to art and discussions that encourage thinking, it empowers young minds.
So with that idea I went to Harmony house and decided to read a fabulous book on Navratri to them, since the festival was about to start. I talked about how the festival is celebrated across India and shared some new words related to the festival.
And then I did my most favourite thing - art with all the children. I taught them how to create Goddess Durga. Each child enjoyed creating their master piece. I also shared yummy dhoklas(A gujrati snack often eaten during festivities) and delectable rasgullas with them.
It was such a wonderful way to spend my birthday.
